Summer Favourites /Essentials

So most of the summer has passed, and I've tried a bunch of products to find out which ones are best to use during the summer months. From festival makeup to healthy summer skin, here's a list of some of the best things I've been using to make this summer amazing. 


Zoella Fragrance Trio - Zoellas 'Good Things Come In Threes' fragrance collection is amazing! Zoe Suggs first three fragrance now come together in mini bottles, exactly like the full sized ones, and they're just perfect to keep in your handbag and spritz throughout the day. The three fragrances, Blissful Mistful, Let's spritz! and Sweet Inspirations, are the perfect set for summer, easy to take anywhere in your night out bag or suitcase.

Rainbow Highlighter - So this summer Makeup Revolution released some cool new products, which included a beautiful 5 coloured Rainbow Highlighter. It contains red, yellow, green, blue and purple shimmery pastel shades which are great to use individually or look super summer when used all together. It's a definite must have item for summer and at only £4 who wouldn't want to grab this gorgeous highlighter. 

Out of Space Nail varnish - Essence recently released an 'Out of Space' nail range featuring some glittery, galaxy like bottles in blues and purples and pinks. I picked up a lilac purple colour that when it hits the light becomes a silvery blue shade, and it looks incredible. I totally recommend getting some of this great value spacey nail varnish, it's cute AF. 

Sun glasses- My sunglasses get broken quite often so I yet again had to go out and look for a decent pair of sunglasses, This particular pair that I bought this year are from Topshop and they're beautiful. These LOLLY sunglasses have a plastic clear frame and arms with reflective rainbow lenses and I love them  so much that I haven't worn another pair of sunglasses since I purchased them. Unicorn glasses FTW!

Malibu SPF spray - Obviously in summer everyone's gonna be out in the sun, so everyone is in need of a decent SPF to protect their skin from the rays, my favourite is Malibu SPF 30 lotion. I like the one in the spray bottle for easy application although it also comes in a squeeze bottle if you prefer. It's water resistant and soaks into your skin quickly without making your skin feel greasy and slimy, absolutely perfect for going to the beach. 

Mini Vodka - Summer is the time for drinking and vodka is my favourite drink, so these Mini Absolut Vodka bottles are the best. These mini 50ml bottles are both adorable and useful for summer BBQs or beach parties where you want to bring a little something without having to spend to much. With 5 different flavoured vodkas, there's one for everyone. So get your drink on this summer! 

Collection Glam Crystals Gel Eyeliner - Eyeliner is one of my favourite makeup items for many reasons, like it makes your eyes stand out and there's loads of different colours to try out. For my blue eyes I love trying blue or turquoise colours to really make my eyes pop. This Collection Crystals Gel Eyeliner in shade Le Freak is my favourite this summer, it brightens up your normal makeup look for a glittering, summery eye look. 

Sanctuary Spa Wonder Body - Having tanned and glowing skin is something that most people want, especially in the summer, I like using this Sanctuary Spa Wonder Body lotion for healthy looking glowing skin. This tinted moisturising lotion hydrates skin and has adaptive pigments to suit all skin tones. I love using this on my arms and shoulders to make my tan look even and glowing. 

Malibu Lip Balm Trio -  I love this Trio of Malibu SPF 30 lip care balms for the summer, as lips is one thing most people don't protect from the rays. With a Strawberry, Tropical and Vanilla flavoured lip balm set, which is sun, sweat and water resistant, why would you not protect your lips, not to mention the other flavours that Malibu have to offer. Perfect for everyone all year round, but especially during the summer. 

Flower Crown - When else can you wear a flower crown if not in the middle of summer? Flower crowns make every outfit look cute and summer, they're available in every colour in almost every clothes store so it's pretty hard not to run into some when you're shopping. Primark have a wide selection of flower crowns all year round in a variety of colours and sizes, so I recommend grabbing yourself a flower crown to jazz up your festival look.

Morny Moisturising Cream - This Aloe Vera Moisturising Cream by Morny is so perfect for your skin as it soothes and moisturises, great for sunburnt skin as well as dry skin. I've been using this for a few months and find it great to use on sunburn, the aloe vera really helps sooth and cool your burnt skin. I recommend getting some if you easily get burnt in the sun as it will definitely help refresh your skin. 

Batiste Dry Shampoo - If you're going to a festival or just for a weekend camping trip, dry shampoo is a life saver. I've found dry shampoo to be amazing, not only for weekends away but also for at home when i'm in between washing my hair. It helps keep your hair fresh, smooth and and smelling good, my favourite is Batiste Cherry Fragranced Dry Shampoo, it also come in useful travel sizes for handbags and luggage.
