Winter Favourites/Essentials

It's definitely winter now, the days are shorter and colder; you're spending more time indoors watching movies with hot chocolate, but you have to go outside sometimes. Here are a few things I think are essential to this cold winter that's happening, as we still have a few months before spring kicks in. These are just my favourite products for the winter, I linked everything so you can find it yourself and I hope you get some ideas to help protect you from the cold this winter.

India X

Fluffy Socks & Slippers - Cold feet are a no-no, so you've got to make sure you're stocked with enough cozy, fluffy socks to last you until it's flip-flop season again. This 2 pack of fluffy socks from Primark are sure to keep your feet cozy and warm during winter, and they're cheap enough to grab yourself 10 at a time. If fluffy socks aren't enough for you, grab yourself some Super fluffy slippers like these Grinch ones, also from Primark.

Bee Natural Lip Balm - We all know the struggle of getting dry and flaky lips in the winter, and we all seek out products to try and protect our horrendously sore, chapped lips from the harsh winter weather. I like using the Bee Natural Lip Balms, because they contain Bees Wax, which helps keep the moisture in, unlike some other lip balms. These lips balms are a little less pricey than Burt's Bees lip products, and come in some yummy flavours; my favourites are Peppermint and Pomegranate, but there are 5 other flavours to choose from.

Palmer's Coconut Oil Body Lotion - Your skin is another thing that gets super dry in the winter, and needs some extra care and moisture, and Palmer's Coconut Oil Body Lotion is perfect for keeping your skin soft, smooth and moisturised all day long. The natural ingredients contained in this body lotion leaves your skin pampered and hydrated for 24 hours, as well as smelling super sweet. I recommend this product if you struggle with dry skin in the harsher month; you really do notice a different after using this body lotion.

Woolly Hat - Woolly hats are an essential when the weather gets chilly, and stores like Primark and H&M have produced some adorable woolly hats this year, complete with fuzzy pompoms. A couple of my picks are this Pink Cable-knit hat from H&M and this Woolly Black hat garnished with an Autumnal Pompom from Primark. These hats are definitely going to keep your head and ears warm during the winter months.

Barry M Molten Metal Nail Paint - This stunning Barry M Molten Metal in Blue Glacier is absolutely perfect for a winter nail look, as it's glittery and silver, and looks just like ice! This metallic blue/silver nail paint will make your nails literally looks like glittering snowflakes. I think this cold colour will be incredible with some festive/winter themed nail looks with white snowflakes or snowmen.

Pink Blusher - When it's winter, I really like to wear pink blush on my cheeks, because I feel like it gives you a naturally flushed look like you've been out in the cold, unlike when you wear it summer and it just makes you look like a hot mess. I like to use the Revolution Ultra Blush Sugar & Spice Palette because it has lots of different colours to suit different skin tones and create a beautiful flushed look.

Hand Warmer - If you get really cold hands, then this should be a  definitive essential for you. Hand warmers work by putting them into boiling water, until the inside has turned to liquid, and then pressing the metal disk inside to release the heat, perfect to keep in your coat pocket for when you're standing out in the cold. I like this Sweet Snuggles Heart Shaped Christmas Hand Warmer and this Mini Hottie Hand Warmer
Candles - Candles are a must have for winter, they fill your home with great scents and look so cute when you have a little bundle of them together. I really like the Yankee Candle Snowflake Cookie Candle at Christmas, It's sweet and sugary and and smells so delicious when you're burning it. If this is a little too pricey for you, then Primark have a good selection of cheap candles, like this Spiced Dusk candle at only £2, or this Madagascan Vanilla candle at only 80p.

The Body Shop Shimmer Mist - This Glazed Apple Shimmer Mist from The Body Shop is perfect for December because it smells incredibly festive and Christmasy, not to mention the shimmer, which I think would look great of you're off out to any Christmas party's. Although there isn't a massive amount of shimmer, it still creates a subtle sheen on your arms (or wherever else you spray it) and smells just like spiced apples, which is gorgeous. This little product is just great for December time when you have lots of Christmasy events to go to.

Tissues - No one wants the sniffles, but sometimes it's inevitable in the winter, so make sure you're stocked up with lots of tissues. I like these 4 packs of tissues from Primark, because they always come in cute packages, like flamingos, cactus' and pineapples. Not to mention a pack of 4 is only 50p. Better start grabbing some now before your nose starts running.

Zoella Wonder Hand Moisturising Hand Cream - Not only should you get a hand warmer to keep your hands warm, you should also invest in some hand cream to keep them soft and moisturised throughout the cold months. I like the Zoella Wonder Hand Moisturising Hand Cream, it smells great and isn't greasy like some other hand creams, and it absorbs into your hands quickly so you don't have sticky hands for ages.

Options Mint Hot Chocolate - Mint hot chocolate is the perfect drink for cold winter days, especially when it's topped with whipped cream and marshmallows. I like using the Options Belgian Choc Mint Hot Chocolate with whipped cream and crushed candy cane pieces for a super festive, minty explosion, and of course a decorative candy cane for stirring you warm, minty delight.
